Jin Jun Mei is one of the most demanding and labor intensive teas to produce.  Made exclusively from buds hand plucked in early spring, Jin Jun Mei requires thousands upon thousands of hand picked buds to make a single pound of finished tea.  Fully oxidized and then skillfully roasted to perfection by grower Li Xiangxi's family in Tongmu, this spring-fed high mountain tea has a full and beautiful elegance with a rich, mineral flavor.

As a very small company we are doing a very small run of this truly special and rather expensive tea.  Don't hold out, when it's gone, it's gone!

Ingredients

Origin and Farmer

Wuyishan Ecological Preserve, Wuyishan, Fujian, China. From the Li Family, led by Ms. Li Xiangxi. Outside the Li family’s workshop above the Longchuan Gorge, wild tea bushes grow together with citrus trees and forests of bamboo and pine. Wild tea bushes grow right out of the rocks, fed by deep natural springs higher up in the mountains. Simple bamboo aqueducts bring the water downhill, providing good fresh water to the bushes and the family vegetable gardens.

Terrific Tea!

This tea is a very nice subtle tea! It reminded me of the tea I used to get at my favorite Chinese restaurant. I only bought the sample packets & was disappointed that the larger ones were limited! I can't wait for another batch!

My new favorite tea

Jin Jun Mei is an amazing caffeinated tea. I bought the 4g pack and now I am ordering the 40g pouch. It is just the right amount of oomph in the morning and has a very pleasant aroma that gets my day started rightly.
