Hojicha Blondies with Caramel Chips
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tbsp hojicha powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup caramel chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8x8 baking pan with butter and line with parchment paper.
Melt the butter then set aside. Sift the hojicha powder, flour and baking powder into a small bowl. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Whisk in egg, vanilla extract and salt. Whisk dry ingredients in. Add caramel chips and mix.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before cutting.
